One potential problem for aircraft like fighter jets is the near impossible to determine local boundaries of each airport. Each individual aircraft flight dynamics varies. If you schedule a TNG at a 5,000 ft runway, the jet will still use 8,000 ft as it goes out into the grass for the takeoff run. I've seen military fighters need 8,000 ft to do a TNG in FS. The land, slow, takeoff behavior takes about twice as long a runway as someone would use for the aircraft in the real world - be careful where you schedule TNG. VFR TNG flight plans are under the control of the airport tower frequency, or multi-comm frequency if there is no tower. The aircraft will fly the 'pattern' direction specified in the runway properties. On a VFR flight plan the aircraft behavior is programmed as land, slow to 30 knots, accelerate and takeoff. On an IFR flight plan the "TNG" approaches can easily be 10 to 20 minutes apart. The aircraft will then contact departure on the radio and be vectored back for the next missed approach. Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.Īny other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.īy following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.įS is programmed that if the aircraft is on an IFR flight plan it will only shoot an instrument approach and go around before touching the runway.Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course. Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum.

Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum.Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general. Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum.Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions: But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this.
